Volunteer Coordinator - Fundraising
When We Need You
From 27/06/2011 onwards
About Opportunity
Make a difference in your local community by supporting and expanding our already successful team of dedicated fundraising volunteers.
Did you know that £700,000 was raised from loose change last year? This helped produce 14,000 titles for talking books, facilitate 102 weekly telephone befriending social groups for blind and partially sighted people and fund our campaigns which recently enabled 1,500 campaigners to lobby parliament.
What will I be doing?
- Working alongside your local Fundraising Manager or Community Fundraising Executive you will be the first point of contact to support your local volunteering team.
- Design, develop and deliver an action plan for your area with your FM or CFM including recruiting, inducting, training and motivating volunteers.
- Investigate new venues for Sooty boxes and future opportunities for community fundraising.

About RNIB
RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) is the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to almost two million people with sight loss. As a membership organisation we are dedicated to delivering services our members need and campaigning for their civil and welfare rights. We support children and adults with sight loss to live full and independent lives. Volunteers work with us to support blind and partially sighted people in a variety of locations across the UK. We have over 100 different volunteering roles available which can be done from home, based at an RNIB Group office or out and about in the community. Volunteering with us means that you will help even more blind and partially sighted people lead full and independent lives.
