Volunteers are needed to promote chess at Hillhead High School and its associated primaries. Coaching pupils and preparing them for inter schools competition both locally and nationally. Encouraging participation of youngsters at club level. The volunteer will run a chess session at Hillhead High School, probably after school once per week for about one hour. The coaching could include associated primary schools if the volunteer is willing to give the time. The work in primaries could be done during the school day with pupils being extracted as they are. The volunteer will work with around four to six youngsters at any time, most of whom are familiar with the game and have the potential to improve. **HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?** If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch with us using the contact details on this page.
