About Opportunity

Achadh an Droighinn (Auchindrain) was Scotland's last tenancy farm township, and is today the most original and best preserved example of a settlement type that was once common and universal across the Highlands and Islands. The 21-acre site is now a museum and heritage attraction open throughout the year. One of the historic buildings has been converted into a modern and reasonably well-equipped suite of offices. The site is run by a small workforce that is a mixture of paid staff and volunteers, but all have technical, professional or customer-facing roles. Office systems are largely lacking, and the trust urgently needs the support of a volunteer with the skill to get things organised and the patience to keep them that way.
