About Opportunity

To support the AHP Outreach Worker to deliver interventions to the African community in Greater Glasgow and Clyde which promote HIV testing and treatment and support the reduction of HIV transmission. Condom distribution – working alongside the AHP Outreach Worker to identify places locally e.g. food shops, barbers and regular or one off events where AHP could make condoms available; assist the Outreach Worker to make contact and set up condom distribution; assist the Outreach Worker to monitor condom use and maintain condom supplies in regular outlets; assist the Outreach Worker to promote condom access. Sexual health – working alongside the AHP Outreach Worker to develop ways of delivering messages about safe sex, condom use, STI and HIV testing, reproductive health etc (including drama workshops, information stalls, awareness workshops) ; provide information about where to access services etc
