When We Need You
From 15/12/2011 onwards
About Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a team of at least 4-6 people to go out in pairs (ideally by bike!) to visit mainly low-income householders who have contacted us to ask for the loan of an energy monitor. You will help them to install it and to learn how to use it to monitor and control their use of electricity. You may also be asked to do a home energy survey and to offer advice on ways of saving energy and giving information on grants or loans they may be able to access. In conjunction with the Energy Saving Trust. Full training will be given and helping with this project will offer an invaluable experience in learning about practical energy saving, working with the public, and improving your knowledge of environmental issues. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact us an informal chat ideally by email, writing to us, drop in and see us or phone using details . If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch with us using the contact details on this page. Alternatively you can register your interest directly using the register Interest facility. If you do not receive a response within 3 working days, please contact the Volunteer Centre. It generally takes around 3 weeks after you contact us to get you started.
