When We Need You
From 08/06/2011 onwards
About Opportunity
As an Event Organiser/Fundraiser you will organise events to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Events could be dances, concerts, sponsored walks, ladies evenings, golf tournaments, anything at all. The events can be small or large – pick what you enjoy and consider what events you are most likely to be able to attract people to. With this role volunteers will gain valuable experience of event organisation and fundraising as well as an insight into how Save the Children are helping vulnerable children both here in the UK and around the world. Save the Children provides excellent resources and support to any volunteers wishing to get involved. Volunteers may wish to enlist the help of others to run their events. Save the Children is the world’s independent children’s charity. We’re outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. We’re working flat out to get every child their rights and we’re determined to make further, faster changes. How many? How fast? It’s up to you. For more information please visit our website www.savethechildren.org.uk HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact us for an application pack ideally by emailor phone Dorothy Parker at d.parker@savethechildren.org.uk or 07825732437/01877389078 If you do not receive a response within 7 working days, please contact the Volunteer Centre. After submitting the application form we will contact you. It generally takes around 2 weeks after you contact us to get you started.
