About Opportunity
Craigiebank, Douglas and Mid-Craigie Church Youth Project is a new and exciting ongoing development reaching out to young people in these urban priority areas of the city. This is an opportunity to take a leading or assisting role in pioneering new youth work and outreach. General help or making use of particular skills (sport, arts & craft, music, etc) would all be appreciated. Currently there is a Friday night youth group in Douglas called RockSolid (which is still in its early stages) for young people in P7+. We hope to start a similar youth group in Craigiebank. There are holiday clubs and other events which can be developed as well as opportunities for sports work and detached youth work. The harvest is great but the workers are few! This is a chance to be part of a new project, enhance your own skills and experiences – and have an enjoyable and rewarding time too!
