About Opportunity

The accounting needs of the project are changing as it moves from a period of extensive capital funding and development to a range of new operations offered within the centre, as well as continuing the core provision of services for young people in the area. The treasurer will be primarily responsible for continuing the preparation of company management and year end accounts using Sage 50, supported in daily routines by the Youth Project Worker (admin). There will also be a need to expand current financial systems to include new activities, in conjunction with the centre manager. The ideal volunteer wil be able to produce simple reports for presentation to the Board of Directors monitoring key areas such as cash reserves and staff funding. The treasurer is also required to complete statutory returns to OSCR and Companies House, and ad hoc provision of financial information in support of funding applications.
