Lead volunteers will be the key contact for volunteers in their local area Volunteers will mainly provide support in their local region Engage members of the general public in a friendly and enthusiastic manner to raise awareness of diabetes, the Patient Held Summary and Diabetes UK Offer appropriate Diabetes UK publications/materials To motivate people who have diabetes to access and use their Patient Held record Answer general enquiries and direct any medical or other specific questions to the appropriate member of staff and/or refer to Careline Encourage people with diabetes to leave their details so that we can forward them further information

Travel Details
This is a very flexible role within the Fife NHS Health Board area. You will have the opportunity to arrange meetings and attend events locally as appropriate. You can fit your volunteering round your existing commitments.

Training and Induction Details
This will be provided by the Project Co-ordinator, Volunteer Development Officer and Volunteer Officer. This is a new way of working with volunteers and the induction, orientation and project related training will be piloted with new volunteers.

Normally claims are processed when submitted and paid out within four weeks. However, arrangements can be made when required, i.e. via petty cash in advance.
