About Opportunity

(NB: Now Recruiting - Autumn 2011) Within the position of Champs Club Assistant the volunteer will receive regular training, which includes child protection, behavioural intervention, sports specific, and arts & crafts. It is anticipated that the volunteer will grow in confidence and builds their self esteem, gain new skills and also provide a platform for further volunteering opportunities and or future employment. The volunteer will benefit from the added support, knowledge and experience that the volunteer will be able to offer

About East Ayrshire Council

To provide sporting, leisure and recreational activities for the community of East Ayrshire.

Skills & Experience

An enthusiastic and motivated individual would be best suited to this position. Not only will the volunteer be required to work within a team, but also with the volunteers own initiative. Communication with both children and adults is imperative.

Travel Details

Bellfield Community Centre - Mondays 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Restrictions

The volunteer would require an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check as this is a designated childcare post.

Training and Induction Details

Induction and training will consist of, a one hour induction which will be required at the start, that will consist of all the policy & procedures in relation to the Champs Club Assistant. The volunteer will liaise with their line manager.
