About Opportunity

As part of the Scottish Government CashBack for Communities programme, young people are encouraged to join their local assessment panel and be part of the decision making process which gives financial awards to local youth organisations to provide events and activities for young people aged 10 – 19 years.

About YouthLink Scotland

YouthLink Scotland is the national agency for youth work and supports organisations that deliver programmes of youth work throughout Scotland.

Skills & Experience

Must be PC literate, have access to a web enabled PC with email and have reasonable communication skills with other young people and adults.

Travel Details

Local assessors in each local authority area will assist with the induction, training and support of new youth assessors. Local venues will be identified to provide training on the software used to assess the funding applications and assessment panels are conducted in venues that are accessible by all the assessors on each panel. Travel expenses are remimbursed to all assessors who have to travel to assessment panels, even in rural areas.

Must be 16 – 20 years of age.
