About Opportunity
Being able to commit to one day a week in an Action for Children office or at home making calls and writing letters to current music and contemporary festivals in Scotland, finding out how they support charities and commit ot running at least 3 festivals stands a year. Organising and setting up an eye catching and interesting Action for Children stand for events to raise awareness of our work, promote fundraising events, recruit further volunteers and if possible, hold a collection. Recruiting and motivating other volunteers to man the stand. Sending thank you letters to festivals and calling them to let them know how the stand made a difference. Keeping a detailed account of festivals that have been approached on our inhouse data base. Ensuring accurate receipting and caccounting of income, in accordance with Action for Children Reporting, Banking and Administrative procedures.
