About Opportunity
The Volunteer Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that volunteers feel positive about their volunteering experience and act as a main point of contact for volunteers working within the Fife project. The main role would be: Provide support to volunteers Increase communication Recruit volunteers Co-ordinating skills to appropriate roles Organising training needs Raising the profile of the volunteers Celebrate volunteering through organising rewards and recognition strategies Attend regular team meetings.

About Circles Network Independent Advocacy Service
The aim of the organisation is to provide Independent Advocacy to people in Fife experiencing mental health issues and or dementia.
Advocacy safeguards people who are viulnerable.
Advocacy emplowers people who need a stronger voice by enabling them to express their own needs and make their own decisions.
Advocacy enables people to gain access to information, explore and understand options and to make their views and wishes known.
Advocates can speak on behalf of people who are unable to speak for themselves.
The project delivers individual (one to one), collective (group) and citizen (long term) advocacy.
Skills & Experience
The ability to listen and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Experience in volunteering or working with volunteers. To be able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative. Qualities include empathy, self motivated and reliable.
Travel Details
The main office base will be in Glenrothes although the service will be Fife wide. Pool cars and travel expenses are provided.

Training and Induction Details
The volunteer will be given the same support as a paid staff members. A six week induction programme with support and peer mentoring. Ongoing training support and supervision.

Expenses Detail
Expenses are paid on the day the volunteer works. Public transport and out of pocket expenses are paid. Mileage is also paid daily at the rate of 30p per mile. Pool cars are also available which are insured by the company.
