About Opportunity
Falkirk Adult Literacies Team are keen to hear from people interested in joining a team of Literacy Tutors who enable adults, free of charge, to improve their reading and writing. Tutors can make a significant difference to peoples' reading/writing skills levels and past tutors say it has helped them meet new people, make new friends, feel part of a group. They also report a high feel good factor when adults make good progress.

Skills & Experience
Respect confidentiality, a good communicator, be able to work on own initiative, interest in the activity, trustworthy, caring, a good listener, emotionally stable, non-judgemental and good at dealing with the public.

Application Form, Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Police Check
Training and Induction Details
All suitable volunteers undergo accredited training (PDA ITALL) and are offered in house training in Dyslexia & ESOL Awareness, Child Protection and I/T.
