About Opportunity

The opportunity involves assisting customers with help or advice , keeping shop floor tidy, putting stock out and merchandising displays and operating the till if required. Full training is provided with the opportunity of training certificates on completion of relevant modules. This is a bright and busy shop with a friendly and varied team of staff and volunteers. You would enjoy it here! About British Heart Foundation (Byres Road)

The aim of the BHF is to play a leading role in the fight against heart disease , the BHF aims to do this through research, education and care , funding medical research. Providing support and information , providing life saving equipment for hospitals and funding BHF nurses.

Skills & Experience

Volunteers should be friendly, polite, willing to learn, reliable and be able to work within a small team.

Travel Details

217 Byres Rd, Glasgow G12 8UD opposite Hillhead underground. The following bus routes operate to Byres Road: First 8, 23, 89 & 90; The shop is also within five minutes walking distance from Great Western Road where bus routes 20, 66, 118 & 118A operate.

Induction/Training, Informal Chat, References, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

All new volunteers undergo a 5-module induction, usually completed within 4 weeks. This includes Health & Safety, Security, Till Operation, Shopfloor Supervision and a Pricing module.
