About Opportunity

Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and controlled by their members. They offer savings and great value loans plus they are local, ethical and know what their members want - see www.abcul.org or www.discoverycu.oc.uk. Although Discovery CU employs professional staff to manage the credit union on a day-to-day basis, DCU relies on the contribution of volunteers – as Board members, as Customer Service Assistances or to help with marketing or finance. Right now we need extra help with our back office duties. If you’ve some office experience, answering telephones, basic IT – data input, emails etc we’d love to hear from you. You’ll need good communication skills, basic numeracy and a “can do” attitude. You also need to be able to work without too much supervision. A lively and friendly office, you’ll be made very welcome and there’s always plenty to do. DCU is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
