About Opportunity
The volunteer would collect the young person from their home address in Keith and take them to Cranloch Stables. If the volunteer was local to Cranloch, then they could go home, or if they would be to wait with the young person until the activity session is over, then that is ok.

About Give Kids a Chance Project
Give Kids a Chance is a local partnership initiative. The project aims to encourage and support vulnerable young people between the ages of 10 - 18 years to develop and sustain interests or hobbies that will divert them from negative activities. By involving young people in positive sport and leisure activities Give Kids a Chance aims to relieve boredom, raise self esteem, confidence and personal skills.
Skills & Experience
Initiative to deal with situations as and when they occur, e.g sudden change in arrangements, no show from young person. Experience, interest or knowledge of working with young people. Experienced driver, over 21 years of age.
Travel Details
The young person lives in the Keith area but is riding the horses at Cranloch, near Lhanbryde. So this volunteer opportunity would be ideal for someone already living in the around either areas. Access to a car is essential.
Restrictions
Volunteer must complete an enhanced disclosure.

Training and Induction Details
One – one induction meeting with GKAC Project Manager at start. Supervision and support provided initially by Children 1st then directly responsible to GKAC Project Manager.

all expenses will be covered by the organisation. Mileage paid at 25p per mile. If volunteering for more than 4 hours a meal allowance of £5 is paid.
