About Opportunity

As our organisation deals with a wide range of enquiries from the local community, we require people who can deal sympathetically with clients. Many individuals are upset when they initially contact us, therefore a calm and welcoming approach is required to make them feel at ease. Most of the problems we deal with involve referring clients to other organisations, such as the benefits office, job centre plus, consumer protection, etc. Most debt issues are passed directly to the Citizens Advice Bureau. There is a great feeling of job satisfaction when clients go away having had their problem resolved by on of our volunteers, which could involve making a telephone call, composing a letter or filling out a form for them.
