About Opportunity

Duties include - Give short presentations in schools, colleges and/or nurseries. - Build up strong relationships with teachers and PE co-ordinators at schools within your agreed area through your contact with schools. - Help encourage shools to participate in national fundraising events such as Jump Rope for Heart (skipping event) and Ultimate Dodgeball which raise vital funds whilst improving children's heart health. - Attending cheque presentations and thank supporters for their help at schools who have supported the charity. You will be working independently with support from your local Fundraising Volunteer Manager and from your regional office. You will also build up your own local contacts within the schools and colleges that you work with.

Skills & Experience

- friendly, outgoing with a natural empathy for children and young people - no prior knowledge of heart disease required as full training given but an interest in health and some knowledge of the school sytem. - strong communication skills - ability to communicate well over the phone and face to face - enjoy speaking to others and be able to give clear and imaginative presentations to younger audiences
