About Opportunity

The purpose of the role is to develop positive relationships with young people based on an understanding of the youth workers role. You will create opportunities for young people to have fun, have new experiences and gain new skills. Also you will enable young people to adopt positive relationships with their peers and adults.

About Highland Council

To ensure the delivery of quality youth work services within each integrated learning community (school group area). We co-ordinate and develop the services offered by the Council and its partners to ensure maximum availability of services for young people.

Skills & Experience

Knowledge To have a good knowledge of issues affecting young people and a good level of general education. Skills No experience of working with young people is required as training and support will be given. Personal and Social Skills Willingness to work flexible hours Ability to work as part of a team Sense of humour.

Training and Induction Details

Support will be given by a qualified member of the team and training such as Child protection, Health and Hygiene, and first Aid will also be available.
