About Opportunity

Volunteers are required to give 3 hours (or more) of their time to help run the "Devils Porridge" museum, which tells the story of the 30,000 women and men who came to work in the greatest munitions factory on earth - HM Factory Gretna - in World War 1. Be part of our team manning the museum reception desk, interacting with visitors and learning the fascinating story of how the Eastriggs and Gretna townships were built.

Travel Details

The Devils Porridge exhibition is on the western outskirts of Eastriggs, signposted from the A75. It is 2 minutes walk from the bus stop at the entrance to Eastriggs.

Opportunities exist Monday to Saturday 10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm and Sunday 12noon - 4pm. Volunteers would need to do 3 hours per week. Minimum 4 hours per month
