About Opportunity
Volunteering with Upkeep would present an exciting and varied opportunity for interested, committed individuals. Duties will include the following:- Furniture sales and marketing Stock control Minor repairs and cleaning of furniture Administration Dealing with public enquiries Volunteers will have the opportunity to help establish and develop our new furniture re-use shop in Shettleston and play a vital role in engaging with the local community to ensure that our aims of diverting good quality re-usable furniture from landfill sites and providing low cost furniture to those who need it most The opportunity will provide the volunteer with ongoing personal development and training as well as a stable working pattern allowing them to gain transferable skills aiding their future job prospects. About Upkeep Furniture Recycling Project
Provision and management of social housing is the associations main function. We are also involved in community development and social care as part of our wider role remit.

Ability to work as part of a team Ability to engage with members of the public Previous retail experience would be beneficial but is not essential
