About Opportunity

Organise fundraising walk/s in your local area to help promote an active lifestyle and fundraising. Your role would involve: Identifying walk(s) in your area that are suitable for the participants that you aim to recruit. Conduct a risk assessment of the walk to ensure all walkers are safe and the environment is not adversely affected. Advertise and publicise your BHF Walk (with the help and assistance from your BHF regional office) Recruit and register walkers and encourage sponsorship and fundraising. Manage the walk on the day to ensure all walkers are fully briefed on the route and other relevant details and that all volunteers understand their role. Encourage walkers to continue walking and to return to your BHF Walk again in the future.

Skills & Experience

An interest in people, walking and the outdoors will all be important to this role. Access to a computer with e-mail is helpful for communication with walkers and with your regional office. You are likely to enjoy planning and organising. An interest in helping to beat heart disease is vital.
