About Opportunity

Frames, prints, photographs… Delve into treasure trove of the items given to us by the Morningside community and select the items that will lift people out of poverty. We need someone to sort our huge array of frames, paintings & prints and photographs, to hang them up to their best advantage, to change our gallery on a weekly basis and finally to sort and to select the best inclusion in auction room sales.

Travel Details

Opportunity takes place at our shop. Bus routes: 5, 11, 15, 16, 17 and 23 Cycle routes nearby, no space indoors for bikes, but they can be locked up outside.

Training and Induction Details

Volunteers will receive induction on the nature and purpose of Oxfam, as well as specifically for the role taken on. Training “on the job” will be given by staff and volunteers and we will encourage volunteers to develop their own skills.

Expenses Detail

Any expenses will be paid on the day or the next shift. All bus tickets must be retained. Lunch expenses can be claimed if you volunteer more than five hours in a day. No expenses can be claimed without receipt
