About Opportunity
The Cyrenians Food Programme works from a depot in Jane Street, Leith, Edinburgh. We have a team of nearly 50 volunteers who work together to collect, sort and quality check then re-distribute nearly 9 tonnes of fresh food each week. We have two refrigerated vans on the road everyday with volunteer drivers and assistants. If you are interested in being a driver with us you are most welcome. You need to be over 25 years of age and have a clean driving licence. We work Monday to Saturday with early starts at 8am and the last drives around 4pm. This is good hard work, with lots of hands on lifting and carrying, there is great support amongst the team, fun and laughter. The work benefits thousands of people each week who can get healthy hot meals provided when they are homeless or disadvantaged. Come and be part of the Good Food Team by being a driver with us.
