About Opportunity

The Prostate Cancer Charity Scotland runs an outreach awareness service which aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer in the community. This service is delivered by our trained volunteers who are all people who have been directly affected by prostate cancer, either a man who has had a diagnosis, or the partner of someone who had or has prostate cancer, relatives or friends. All of our volunteers have all been trained in active listening skills, signposting, boundaries and confidentiality as well as in prostate cancer information. They are available to give talks about prostate cancer or they are available to attend local health awareness events with the Charity's stand and literature.
