About Opportunity
Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis Centre was established in February 2006 to provide a dedicated support service to survivors of Rape and Sexual Abuse. The Centre was set up when a specific need was identified for a dedicated specialised Rape Crisis Service. We originally supported women only but, as of early 2010, are now offering the same support and advocacy to men/boys. Our Youth Project TESSA (To Educate Schools Sexual Abuse) aims to raise awareness of issues surrounding internet safety, cyber-bullying and grooming. It also seeks to challange inappropriate behaviour. We deliver a range of age-appropriate workshops to schools, parents groups and youth clubs. Support services: Crisis Support, Face to Face Support, Telephone Support, Email Support or letter Support, Advocacy, Signposting where it is beneficial and appropriate, Awareness raising/training to other agencies and Group Support Workshops.
