About Opportunity
We will give you all the skills necessary to give talks in your local community on behalf of Bowel Cancer UK. You will be part of a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated team and will be making a real difference to a charity that aims to provide information on Bowel Cancer to the nation. You will learn how to communicate to different groups of people, we will train you in presentation skills; you may already have relevent skills that you could bring on bored. The awareness talks will take place to groups such community events such as farmers markets, healthy living days and mens health week events

Scotland has the highest incidence of bowel cancer in Europe. CCC aims to reduce deaths from bowel cancer through raising awareness, providing information and education about the disease and campaigning for best care.

Training and Induction Details
An induction to the charity, the volunteering role, BCUK's policies and the volunteer handbook will be given as soon after the volunteer has applied for the oppertunity as possible. Initial training will consist of attending a weekend training event.
