About Opportunity

Volunteers are entirely indepedent from the State Hospital and the volunteers assist the service in providing information, support and representation to as many patients living in the State Hospital. This is a unique opportunity working with some of the most vulnerable people within the mental health system. Training once a year FEBRUARY

About Patients Advocacy Service

The Parents Advocacy Service aims to provide information, support and representation to as many patients living in the state hospital. The Patients Advocacy Service works in a unique enviroment in Scotland with some of the most vulnerable people within the mental health system

Skills & Experience

Good skills in communicating with suffers of mental health issues would be very useful for this opportunity, as well as being sympathetic towards the needs of those who suffer from a mental health difficulty. Full ongoing support are provided

Opportunity takes place within Carstairs Hospital in Lanark
