About Opportunity

Lead Scotland supports people with disabilities and carers to engage in learning opportunities. Volunteers assist in aspects such as: -Supporting people - tutoring, scribing, buddying, telephone support, IT support, practical support in educational environment. -Supporting organiser - publicity, IT, support for computer team, admin support. A great opportunity to help and make a positive difference.

Skills & Experience

Good communication skills. Ability to focus on needs of others and abilities. Need for confidentiality. Accept equal opportunities policy.

Travel Details

Undertake a range of activities in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Training and Induction Details

Full training and good support is provided to all volunteers. Initial training - educational opportunities. On-going training e.g. supporting students, disability equality, volunteer issues, representing organisation, guidance issues.
