About Befriend a Child

Provide friendship and support to a child on a one to one basis.

Skills & Experience

No special skills are required but it is important to have a sense of humour and be consistant, caring and responsible

Application Form, Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Interview, Police Check, References

Training and Induction Details

Initial Induction & Child Protection plus Drugs & Alcohol session Ongoing training at a quarterly meeting and small support meetings. 3 Co-ordinators to offer 1:1 support & advice.

Reimbursed by BACS on a monthly basis Maximium £20 per outing + 30p a mile

Frequency & Commitment

Volunteers must be at least 19 years of age.
