About Opportunity

People with the ability to listen and relate to people who are upset and vulnerable. Training given in listening skills, communication skills, self awareness, mental health awareness. We work as part of a skilled team in an atmosphere of openess and mutual support, and self improvement. Ability to be self aware is very important.

About Borderline Helpline

To provide listening and support on a freephone helpline for those suffering emotional distress.

Skills & Experience

Ability to respect others, be self aware and willingness to learn new skills.

Travel Details

Meetings and calls are taken in the central borders, but we pay 30p a mile for people to attend meetings.

Training and Induction Details

2 weekends and 2 evenings initial training. Team meetings are one evening per month. Approx. 2 weekend team training events.
