About Opportunity
Lunch Club volunteers prepare the room for the meals, help serve the food and then clear the tables. The meal is followed by a period of social activities; playing bingo, chatting. Volunteers feel that they are contributing to a valued service to the elderly within their own community. It is also an opportunity to meet new people. Peope who attend the Lunch Club benefit from a hot meal and a chance to get out of the house and meet people.
