About Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Unemployed Workers Centre

To promote the interests of unemployed people, the unwaged and those on a low income. Provide info, advice and support. Provide resource facilities for education and self help. To promote awareness of the issues affecting unemployed people. To promote and establish links with local employers towards tackling the problems of employment. to liase with all the relevent agencies and external bodies.

Skills & Experience

Volunteers should be patient and good listeners, as well as firm, but diplomatic. Can be very stressful at times.

Link Centre Cumbernauld or the Kilsyth Office in King Street

Interview, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

Daily support working with other centre volunteers and clients. Training given in all aspects. Ongoing training.
