About The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

To provide guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people.

Skills & Experience

A desire to care for and instil the basic skills, and experiences to a puppy in a friendly and caring family/home environment.

Expenses Detail

We pay public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every week. Also included mileage rates if applicable. On occasions the puppy will require as part of it's development to travel on various means of public transport, when this is required the costs will be re-imbursed if a local agreement hasn't been set up which allows free travel for guide dogs in training. Local specific information available.
