About Opportunity
The D&G ERC is designed to manage a large amount of environmental data. The main categories of service provision envisaged include: Protected species information, measures and monitoring Digitising of historical data Local biodiversity action plan information Pollution events and controls Conservation sites/reserve designations and locations Strategic planning and environmental issues in the region Environmental impact assessments, planning Volunteers would be able to get involved in all of the above aspects of ERC work.

About D&G Environmental Resources Centre
The Environmental Resources Centre has been set up to gather, manage and integrate environmental data, make this accessible to all. Computer networks, using geographical informatino systems (GIS) will digitise and collate the data.
