About Opportunity

Can you offer a minimum of 2 hours per week working as part of a collection team under the supervision of the cashier, collecting money and keeping records, cash handling and dealing with members enquiries. Experience is not essential as full training is provided in all aspects of the job including bookkeeping, accounting and computer skills. The position is voluntary but we may be able to re-imburse legimate expenses. Applicants should be over 18 and live in the area. For legal and insurance purposes, if not already a member of the credit union, you will be required to become one.

About Fife Credit Unions, Credit Union Development

The promotion of thrift among members by accumulation of savings. The creation of sources of credit for the benifit of its members at a fair and reasonable rate of interest. The use and control of members savings for their mutual benefit and the training and education of members in the wise use of money, and in its management of their financial affairs.

Currently in Dunfermline district including Rosyth, Benarty, Glenrothes, Levenmouth, Cardenden, Kinglassie, East Fife, North East Fife and Kincardine. (People interested in setting up Credit Unions in other areas). Kingdom Credit Union, which covers Central Fife, is available at Kirkcaldy Methodist Church, St Clair Street on a Thursday, 1pm - 2pm.
