About Opportunity

We need someone to help deliver education programmes to local schools and youth groups from age 5-18 using specially designed age appropriate resources that reinforce the message of personal safety with water.

About Maritime Rescue Institute

Maritime Rescue Institute servers waterborne safety, emergency response, search and rescue (SAR). In Kincardineshire 24 hour declared lifeboat service, Youth SAR Groop, prevention, awareness, education programmes. Internationally, to all ages and societies. Special interest in regions with minimal resources - practical training, support to progress water safety initiatives, advice, networking and information source.

Skills & Experience

Whilst a Marine background would be desirable it is not essentila. It is more important that the volunteer has the ability to engage wiht and enthuse young people.

Travel Details

Stonehaven. Travel will be reimbursed at 25p per mile or train or bus fare.

Support will be given from Lifeboat Coxswain along with other members of staff.
