About Opportunity
There are community owned and operated vehicles dispersed throughout Dumfries and Galloway, mostly staffed entirely by volunteers. They provide transport, mostly to community groups, where public transport is inadequate or non-existent. The provision of such transport, usually accessible to the disabled, is often the only means by which disadvantaged groups can take trips and excursions from their own immediate environment. Passenger assistants are needed to provide supervision and care for passengers with special needs.

We are an umbrella organisation which does not itself use volunteers but assist subscriber community transport groups to obtain volunteers

Throughout Dumfries and Galloway - Out of pocket expenses of all kinds will be met.

Training and Induction Details
There is a formal PATS (nationally recognmised) course. Support will be provided by the (geographically) appropriate CT group
