About Opportunity
Using a range of skills to listen and empathise with women who are, or have been, experiencing domestic abuse and need someone to talk to. Training is extensive and will begin when we have 15 or more people in this area. Women can decide when and what times they are available to work on the helpline to suit people's busy lives.

Travel Details
Home, or other suitable venue. Training will be help in Lochaber College or other location in Fort William.
Restrictions
Women only. Women's Aid are exempt from working with men under sex discrimination act.

Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Police Check
Training and Induction Details
Training will cover all aspects of volunteering for the phoneline and issues that may arise and how to handle them. As this opportunity is for the national helpline support, further training will be provided by them at national level.

Public Transport rates and mileage - 35p a mile. Travel costs to and from training may be provided.
