About Opportunity
The Volunteer Stroke Service needs volunteer drivers who can use their own cars to pick up group members from their homes and drop them off at the group and also take them home from the group. You do not need special qualifications to join us. If you can offer a commitment to attend training and have a desire to support people who have had a stroke. As a volunteer you will enjoy interaction with both members abd other volunteers and will learn new skills in your spare time. Volunteers can help with driving members to and from support groups, help and support group activities, outings, conversation and become trained.

The Volunteer Stroke Service provides a range of services which meets the needs of people who have had a stroke. We provide a welcoming and stimulating environment which supports and promotes communication and encourages social interaction.

Current driving licence and car owner, friendly, cheerful person and willing to participate.
