About Opportunity

Whithorn Events Group stages two major community festivals based in Whithorn during the summer months. We need volunteers to participate in the Medieval Fayre (last weekend in July) and the St. Ninians Festival (Last weekend in August). The St. Ninians Festival is a festival music, drama and visual arts, incorporating a fun, lively parade. The Medieval Fayre is an afternoon concentrating on costumes, crafts, food and music.

Whithorn Event Group exists to develop and promote creative and artistic activities to celebrate the cultural history of Whithorn and surrounding area and thereby foster civic pride and for the local community to learn, develop and use skills and thereby improve their quality.

Travel Details

Whithorn and the surrounding area. Volunteers are needed to assist with activities during both events. No long term commitment is required.
