About Opportunity
The service involves helping alleviate poverty and promoting welfare in the Carbrain area of Cumbernauld. Hence, volunteers assist paid staff with things like providing training and employment opportunities to local individuals with special needs, or poor literacy/numeracy skills. Information is also provided to local residents on drugs awareness, PC skills, Health and Beauty classes, etc.

About Carbrain Learning Centre Trust
The objectives of the Trust are to alleviate poverty and promote welfare to those in necessitious circumstances in the Carbrain area of Cumbernauld. This is done through providing employment / training to those with Special Needs, or poor literacy or numeracy skills. Information to local residents on drugs awareness, PC skills, health & beauty, etc. We advance education and learning through community based resources.
Skills & Experience
Volunteers do not require any specific experience or qualifications for this role, but any skills that they have in computing, literacy/numeracy, drugs awareness, health & beauty would be put to use in working with learners from the local area.
Travel Details
All volunteering will take place in the Carbrain area of Cumbernauld. Local community based resources are used in assisting local individuals and learners.
Restrictions
No age registrictions specified, but most suitable for adults aged 18 or over.
