About Opportunity
This is an opportunity to become involved in an important part of a unique integrated service to seperated / divorced parents and their children. A third of children lose touch with one of their parents as an immediate result of seperation and Contact Centres are places where children can meet with the parent they do not live with in a safe, supported, neutral environment. Volunteers help put parents and children at ease and assist the transfer of children from one parent to another. Regular interval checks are made to ensure contact is running smoothly and guidance is given if necessary. Volunteers contributions are invaluable in enabling families to deal with difficult situations and hopefully move on. Witnessing a child renew positive contact with a parent after a lengthy seperation is very rewarding.
