About Opportunity
CO-ORDINATORS - With full support form the development officer, particularly in setting up a new group, we hope the coordinator will manage the group including replacement recruiting when necessary. This includes advertising/networking, though all material is supplied. Visit new hosts homes to ensure suitability for the elderly access and visiting new elderly person to assess suitability to join a group and that they would benefit from our service. The coordinator will usually also be a driver on the outings. The coordinator will be a cheerful facilitator of fun and conversation.

A small national charity which aims to alleviate the loneliness often felt by older people who live alone with little or no support of family or friends. One Sunday afternoon a month our volunteers pick up a group of the older members and together they go to the home of a host where they enjoy afternoon tea together, chatting and enjoying each other's company
