About Opportunity

Our toy library service is offered to all in the community from mums, dads, grannies aunts etc. We have a paid employee who runs the session but she needs help from volunteers who enjoy being with young children and their families. Tasks include filling out records of toys lent and returned, ensuring toys are safe and clean, talking to parents/carers and offering support / advice and passing on worries to staff.

About Home Start Deveron

Homestart Deveron offers informal, friendly support to parents with at least one child under the age of 5. Volunteers who have experience of parenting visit families in their own homes to offer support, friendship and practical help.

Skills & Experience

Friendly, approachable, possible parenting experience but not essential. Enjoys being with under 5's and their carers.

Training and Induction Details

All volunteers are offered an induction and training relevant to their volunteering opportunity. Support is available at all times from the co-ordinators. Volunteers can attend any scheme training usually offered each month.
