About Capability Scotland
Capability Scotland is in partnership with NHSD&G and D&G Council to provide services to people aged 16 to 65 who live with the effects of physical impairment in D&G. Capability Scotland's remit within this partnership is to promote access to leisure, education and employment. There are services based in Dumfries, Thornhill (for Upper Nithsdale), Annan (Annandale/Eskdale), Castle Douglas (Stewartry) and, from early 2004, Newton Stewart (Wigtownshire). Volunteers can become involved in a wide range of ways, from 1:1 befriending to offering group tuition.
Skills & Experience
Communication skills, friendly personality, enjoy meeting people, ability to travel in specified area. Basic administration skills.
Travel Details
In the community. 25p per mile paid if using car, or bus fares reimbursed.
