About Opportunity

Volunteers needed to promote the use of real nappies to a variety of audiences including parents and health professionals. Volunteers are provided with a demonstration kit and given full training in how to deliver a short presentation. Other duties may include assisting the Project Co-ordinator at public events, ie. looking after a display stand, talking to the public enthusing about real nappies. Personal positive experience of real nappies is essential.

About Highland Real Nappy Project

To promote the use of washable nappies across the Highland Council Area.

Skills & Experience

Experience of real nappy use, confidence in talking to groups, enthusiasm, being organised and reliable.

Travel Details

Any location across Highland Council Area to suit volunteer.

Restrictions

Need to be an experienced and confident real nappy user.

Training and Induction Details

Demonstration kit and shown how to deliver short presentation. Child Protection training and updates annually. Existing network of volunteer support and help from project co-ordniator.

Expenses incurred while volunteering -Travel, subsistence and childcare. Mileage 35p a mile and public transport paid.
