When We Need You
From 28/04/2006 onwards
About Opportunity
Working with vulnerable young people offers both challenges and rewards. We aim to create a tolerant, stable and safe environment where they young people can rely on consistent support from volunteers. In order that volunteers can effectively carry out this often demanding work, they are offered appropriate induction training and ongoing training in relevant topics connected to the work they are involved in. In order to ensure that high standards of work and practice are obtained you will be expected to make a clear commitment to the children and to attending training, support and relevant group sessions. This brief outline will hopefully confirm that volunteers play a vital part in the work with young people that Seal Association takes on. It is very difficult to oversee the value placed on volunteers at Seal and the value of the relationships that develop - both to the young people and to the volunteers themselves.
