About Opportunity
The role of CAB adviser is varied and includes: 1. Interviewing clients in person or on the telephone to identify their problems. 2. Using the bureau's information system to gather the relevant information. 3. Explaining to clients the options they have and what the consequences might be. 4. Offering practical assistance, i.e. writing letters, making phone calls, filling in forms. Once you are trained as a generalist adviser, there is opportunity to specialise .e.g. as a money advice worker, court worker.

Training and Induction Details
Introductory Training twice yearly and ongoing training throughout year. Introductory 13 week training programme covering basic subject areas. Initial shadowing of experienced adviser, and once trained you will also have a mentor to support/assist you.
